- Enjoy a scenic drive to the Mayon Planetarium and Science Park and experience a breathtaking view of Tabaco City and San Miguel Island from 2,500 ft. above sea level. Bring a light jacket or a loved one!
- Climb the belfry tower of St. John the Baptist Church and feel half-a-century's history as you run your fingers over the hand-hewn blocks of stones.
- Get updated on the local gossip on board the ever dependable sikad-sikad (padyak).
- Enjoy the rejuvenating waters at Borcel's Farm and Nature Spring Resort or try a relaxing traditional massage, while the kids fish for tilapia at the nearby pond.
- Ride a motorbike around the island of San Miguel and behold the stunning beauty of the majestic Mayon Volcano. It's only a 15-minute boat ride from the Tabaco pier.
- Bring out your creative side and design your own abaca bags at the 2nd flr. of Evaness Educational Supply (look for Nes).
- Visit Brgy. Cobo, the home of tabak-makers, and witness the arduous making of our famous tabak and cutlery. Don't forget to take home some as pasalubong.
- Adobong snipes or boas (sawa)... anyone? Be adventurous and dine on exotic Bicolano cuisine at Solamente Restaurant.
- Delight on out local version of chiffon cake - the marcasotes. It's smoke-baked in a clay pot and deliciously tempting. Best with Ice Blinker's halo-halo.
- Enjoy ibos-latik, a kakanin with a twist you'll surely like, from our friendly ambulant vendors. And remember to ask for more sweet and creamy lunok. Yum!

Borne out of the shared vision of getting all Local Government Units in the Province of Albay online with an interactive, citizen-centric website equipped with such features as downloads, feedback forms, forum or discussion board, and online polls among others, The League of Municipality of the Philippines-Albay Chapter, in partnership with the National Computer Center and Bicol University, conducted a three-day Website Upgrading Workshop (WUW) last December 4 to 6, 2007 at the Computer Laboratory, Bicol University, Legazpi City. Attended by more than twenty participants from all over the province who were designated webmaster and/or alternate webmaster of the local government units, including participants from private banking institution and state college and university, the activity was facilitated by Ms. Marina Secorsicon and Mr. Gabriel Aquino, both of the National Computer Center in Manila.
Designated representatives were asked to submit data requirements either in electronic format or soft copy (stored in CDs and flash drives) to ensure a productive workshop. Mr. Rafael C. Kallos, Administrative Assistant I and designated Electronic New Government Accounting System Project Manager and Ms. Isabelle Antonio, designated City Tourism Officer of the City Government of Tabaco attended the said seminar. They promised to apply the theories, concepts and hands-on experiences in the creation of the new Tabaco City website which will be launched sometime this month. |
